Italian and Danish references
Krøyer-Sætter-Lassen designed Mauro around the relaxed atmosphere of Italian dining spaces, interpreted through a Danish approach to form and material.
Frame and seat
The selected chair has CNC-cut wooden frame components with a pressed-veneer seat and back. Other versions use handwoven paper cord, and an optional leather or textile cushion is available.
Dimensions and stacking
The chair measures 805 mm high, 473 mm wide and 466 mm deep. Audo states that six chairs stack free-standing, or twelve on its chair trolley.
Story
From trattoria atmosphere to a dining chair
Audo describes Mauro as drawing on Italian trattorias while being filtered through Danish design principles. Krøyer-Sætter-Lassen developed a seating series with a solid-wood frame, angled supporting backrest and a choice between pressed veneer and handwoven paper cord seats. The chair's ability to stack, plus glides for different floor types, adds the practical element stated alongside that material narrative.
