Description
Overview
Magi is a daybed designed by Antonio Citterio in 2014. Flexform presents it as a tribute to the Magister sofa, revisiting that model's capitonné tufting with a two-hole technique instead of traditional buttons. An optional bolster can be added to the raised, linear form.

Construction
The metal seat frame is covered in hide leather and supports a polyurethane-foam mattress. The cushion combines polyurethane foam with dacron, while the optional bolster contains sterilized goose down. Metal legs come with a choice of six surface treatments and stand on thermoplastic pads. Fabric and leather upholstery versions are non-removable, and the seat cushion is tufted.

Story
A tribute to Magister
Flexform describes Magi as a tribute to its Magister sofa. The daybed carries forward the earlier design's capitonné character while changing the fastening detail: conventional buttons give way to a two-hole tufting technique. The company connects this change with the graphic effect of the surface and with the complex tailoring required to produce it.
Raised form and optional bolster
The upholstered plane is lifted above the floor on an unadorned metal base. Flexform offers a bolster as an optional addition, allowing the same daybed to be specified with or without that accessory. The official drawing for bench code 021050 prints 177, 80 and 38 cm.
