Mad Chair

Overview

Mad Chair is a Poliform armchair designed by Studio Marcel Wanders in 2014. Poliform calls its lines harmonious and enveloping and adds that it is also suited to a bedroom. It is available with wooden legs or a swivel metal base.

Construction

The structure is moulded flexible polyurethane with parts in flexible multi-density polyurethane, a polyester padding pre-cover and a detachable final layer in fabric or leather. The legs or base are solid wood or painted metal. The outer shell and the inner seat can be finished differently, and the inner seat is also offered in matelassé. Listed options are a swivel base, a kidneyrest cushion and two armrests, with left-arm and right-arm drawings.

Covers and finishes

The cover can come from the catalogue's fabrics and leathers; the outer shell and the inner seat may be given two different finishes, and a matelassé finish is offered for the inner seat.
