Description
Overview
The Lido sofa is the two-seat member of the Lido family that the Italian-Danish duo GamFratesi designed for Minotti. A curved silhouette wraps the body on which the seat padding rests, and Minotti calls it a compact piece for homes and Hospitality spaces alike.

Construction
A metal structure with rubber-rich elastic webbing is coated in fireproof polyurethane foam and wrapped in heat-bonded quilted fibre on white hypoallergenic cotton. In the back and seat cushions, channelled goose down (Assopiuma Gold Label) lies over a core of resilient, variable-density foam. Fabric and leather versions alike have fully removable structure, seat and back covers. The body stands on four solid wood legs (open-pore Moka ash or Canaletto walnut stained Dark Brown) or on an X-shaped base of laminated MDF and aluminium with Moka ash veneer.
Specifications
Lido sofa: 183 cm wide, 99 cm deep and 85 cm high in the official drawing, for the version with legs and the version with base alike.
Story
A nest to sit in
Minotti names the welcoming nest shape as the hallmark of the Lido family by GamFratesi. The page says the curved silhouette around the body now comes as a two-seat sofa too.
Fifties and Brutalism
The design is described as inspired by the 1950s and as echoing the stylistic marks of Brutalist architecture, softened by textured fabrics and comfortable, ergonomic cushions.

The rest of the family
With the sofa, the family reaches armchairs, ottomans, a lounge armchair, a dining little armchair and coffee tables on the X-shaped base.
