Lee Sofa

Overview

Lee stand-alone sofa, called a settee on Flexform's page, designed by Antonio Citterio in 2021. A hand-crafted solid wood structure carries a seat and backrest woven in twisted paper rush cord, with optional soft cushions.

Construction

Solid wood structure in Canaletto walnut, ash or oak; woven twisted paper rush cord; polyester-fibre seat and backrest cushions on request; die-cast zama feet. Cushion covers are removable.

Design as memory

Flexform introduces Lee, the armchair and the settee, with the idea of design as memory: conceptual simplicity and influences tied to childhood memories inspired the design. The page calls the paper rush cord an old-fashioned but completely natural material with excellent resistance to wear, revived here as a tribute to tradition, in an object made to last a lifetime.
