Story

Tradition with a contemporary twist

Flexform places the Lauren folding chair among traditional pieces interpreted with a contemporary twist, and says its concept pays tribute to fine Italian cabinet-making. The page calls the appearance sublimely simple, yet every structural detail was thoughtfully designed and developed.

Wood, leather and small parts

The structure is solid wood, turned and finished by hand; the armrest, seat and backrest are metal clad in cowhide, which the page says takes highly skilled artisan craftsmanship. All the small metal parts were custom-designed.
