Description

Overview

Land Storage is a solid oak dining credenza and console designed by Stine Aas, offered in white oak and umber on oak.

Construction

Reinforced mortise and tenon joints, fully finished solid wood cabinet backs and sliding doors with no visible hardware or exposed metal channel. A soft close drawer is hidden behind the doors, and a bottle and hanging glass insert is optional on the credenza.

Specifications

The console measures 48 in wide, 16.5 in deep and 37.4 in high; the credenza is 29.5 in high and 18.9 in deep, in widths from 65.8 to 84.6 in.

Story

Norwegian heritage and farmland

Stine Aas drew on where she comes from in Norway, together with nearby agricultural land. In the company's video she recalls that her great grandfather was a carpenter who made much of the furniture in the family country house, and that she can still feel the surface of the table after three generations of use.

Made from local hardwood

Timber for the storage pieces comes from North American hardwood forests close to the West Virginia plant. Herman Miller positions the pieces as built to be passed through generations and homes.
