Description
Overview
Magis produces Ladrillos, a modular shelving system that Javier Mariscal designed in 2005. Shelf supports in the form of smiling polyethylene monsters carry white HPL shelves, and the bookcase is composed as the user prefers.
Construction
The shelf supports are made in polyethylene. Each support comes with a butterfly screw and a fastener in a zinc plated steel rod. The shelves are HPL in white 8500 with a black edge and are 12 mm thick. There are seven shelf supports in seven colours: Sino is the base (floor) support and the other six are stacking supports.
Specifications
Shelf: 200 x 36.8 cm (W x D), 12 mm thick HPL.
Story
Smiling monsters that make a bookcase
Ladrillos is the story of a group of strange smiling polyethylene monsters that Javier Mariscal drew in 2005 and that together form a bookcase. Drawing is Mariscal's great speciality, and he approaches a commission in an artistic way.
Composition left to the user
The system is made of shelf supports and shelves that the user combines; the base (floor) support stands on the floor and the other six are stacking shelf supports. Seven colours of support are offered, and the shelves are white HPL with a black edge.
