Description

Expandable Shelving

Created for GUBI by Linda Korndal's studio Toko Among Friends, Keen is a 2025 modular shelving system that extends vertically and laterally. GUBI identifies seven core modules.

Rod-and-Bracket Structure

Vertical metal rods, three open-shelf lengths, an enclosed box shelf, bottom feet and top arches form the system. Special connector brackets allow each rod to pass through the shelf above as further rods and shelves are added.

Selected Configuration

Item 10143812 uses stainless steel with stained ash veneer. Official drawings label 160 cm width × 36 cm depth × 105 cm height for the one-shelf-and-box arrangement.

Story

Storage That Can Change

GUBI describes Keen as a system intended to grow and move with its user. Its open shelves and enclosed box shelf can be assembled into compact or extended compositions without leaving the structure visually unfinished.

Korndal's First GUBI Design

Keen is the first GUBI design by Linda Korndal and Toko Among Friends. GUBI links the work to the studio's combination of analytical architecture, close attention to detail and interest in how objects shape daily rituals.
