Description
Overview
Kaari Table rectangular is a table by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec from 2015, Artek's first collaboration with the designers. It is offered in 240x90 cm, 200x85 cm and 160x80 cm.
Construction
Two solid oak pillars carry the top, and flat rolled steel braces give the diagonal support. The top has an MDF core, a surface of high-pressure laminate or linoleum and an ABS edge-band.

Story
The first collaboration
Artek calls the Kaari Table the result of its first collaboration with Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, and "Kaari" means arch in Finnish.
One line
A page caption says the design is based on a single elegant line; the outline, in Artek's words, could have been drawn with a single stroke of the pen. The page adds that tables of the Kaari collection are suitable for both private and public spheres.
