Description
Overview
The Ison Bench by EOOS is a new interpretation of the classic corner bench: light, minimal and complex. The upholstered bench embraces the principle of modernity, less is more, and it can stand freestanding and radiates lightness. It is available in various lengths and configurations, as a corner bench or a straight bench.
Construction
The seat combines a steel frame construction with a micro pocket sprung core and cold foam under a wadding cover. The back is a wood construction with cold foam and a textile cover. The base is a tubular steel frame, and minimalist leg frames hold the generous upholstered surface. The covers are removable, attached with hook-and-loop fasteners. Three back types are offered: Advanced with distinctive piped quilting, and Classic and Classic-low with plain upholstery in two different heights.

Story
A new creation of Walter Knoll minimalism
Ison uses a minimum amount of material, and only where it is needed. Walter Knoll developed Ison as a variation of the upholstered bench with a lighter base, and the bench seems weightless on its elegant frame.
Ison is Japanese for legacy
The name Ison is Japanese for legacy. EOOS reinvented the corner bench for modern interiors, and in 1999 it created the freestanding upholstered corner bench Together as a new category. Ison continues that concept.
