Overview

H.H.H., short for Her Highest Highness, is an armchair by Philippe Starck for Kartell, dated 2024 on the Kartell data sheet, which also shows the ADI Compasso d'Oro International Award and an Archiproducts Awards winner mark. Kartell's page calls it a chair of unparalleled elegance and graphic impact that moves beyond the idea of sitting. Besides the plain glossy and soft-touch chairs it comes upholstered in leather, in Eco-Friendly Texture or in six Liberty fabrics, and in a printed "graphic impression" version.

Construction

Kartell's leaflet describes H.H.H. as a monobloc, injection-moulded chair in technopolymer derived from recycled thermoplastic, produced with gas venting technology. For the plain versions the data sheet lists a technopolymer made from recycled thermoplastic, with a mineral filler, either with a glossy finish (5915) or with a soft-touch treatment (5920).

Her Highest Highness

Kartell's page sets out the idea behind the name: the chair is meant to define the essence of the person using it and to turn every moment spent on it into one "of true majesty". The frame is made of recycled material, and the seat is offered in several finishes.

With Liberty

The product leaflet records a collaboration with Liberty, "for 150 years the leading name in charmingly timeless printed fabrics". The fabric version has six floral patterns drawn from three designs in Liberty's historic archive, in five colours chosen for Kartell. The "graphic impression" version is made with an industrial printing technique and comes in four floral and geometric patterns and nine colour variants.
