Story
From modernist libraries
Vincent Van Duysen says the Hector bookcase takes its inspiration from typical modernist libraries and offices, translated into an elegant, smooth and above all domestic language. The page adds that the design turns the bookcase from a purely utilitarian element into a centrepiece of contemporary interiors.

Storage and light
Hinged containers with cushioned tops and drawers in the lower modules supply accessible, discreet storage. LED shelves integrated into the uprights provide lighting, and the page points to hinges that reflect the structural innovation of the system.
