Hamptons Outdoor Daybed

Overview

Antonio Citterio designed Hamptons in 2021 as an outdoor daybed for Flexform, built around the qualities of solid wood. Solid iroko forms both the structure and the reclinable backrest, and the wood bases come in an array of finishes.

Construction

Aluminium feet hold the iroko structure clear of the ground and humidity. Roomy, generously padded cushions outlined with grosgrain piping rest on a base whose supports are covered with water-repellent elastic webbing.

Solid wood for outdoors

The Hamptons daybed design makes full use of solid wood, a material which performs exceptionally outdoors and so suits furnishings of timeless appeal. Aluminium feet keep the wooden structure from touching the ground, which also keeps humidity away.

Fine tailoring outdoors

Roomy, generously padded cushions outlined with grosgrain piping, tone-on-tone or in a contrasting shade, sit on the wood bases, a detail that reflects Flexform's commitment to fine tailoring even outdoors. Fasteners allow the reclinable daybed to stand alone or be linked with others, and the daybeds stack for storage.
