Construction
The perimeter structure is painted extruded aluminium in a satin finish, assembled with painted die-cast aluminium legs. Where the parts meet, a triangular joint in a brass finish is visible, an internal leg cover for the pewter and green structures. The marble top carries a water-repellent, stain-resistant treatment and a laminate support.

Story
Geometry and material
The Molteni&C page says the Half a Square table captures minimalist sophistication through a dialogue of geometry and exquisite materials. It describes clean, linear forms balanced with rich, tactile finishes, and a tabletop that accentuates the geometric rigor of the design.
An engineer's table
The project is very minimalist in design yet rich in materials such as aluminium and marble, and in it Anastassiades' engineering background nearly eclipses his design background, leading to a unique and intriguing object. The brass joints reinforce the structural integrity of the frame while serving as decorative details.
