Description

Overview

Giopato & Coombes designed Grace for Living Divani in 2013. Grace is a small armchair built on a basic frame that is covered in different ways, a sort of outfit chosen according to taste.

Construction

The base is a rectangular-section steel frame with black epoxy powder coating, RAL 9017 mat black. The shell is a one-piece frame with a steel insert and flexible, cold-expanded polyurethane foam, and the seat frame is curved poplar plywood padded with polyurethane foam. The upholstery is fabric or leather, customized for each chair, and its lining combines 100% polyether with a polyamide velveteen backing, joined thermally. The cover comes off completely with zippers and Velcro once the chassis is unscrewed from the supporting frame.

Specifications

Seat depth: 42 cm. Structure finish: RAL 9017 black painting.

Story

A basic frame with a chosen outfit

Grace is a basic frame to cover in different ways, a sort of outfit to choose according to taste, and that is the distinguishing trait of the Grace chair by Giopato & Coombes. It is a small armchair designed in 2013.

Four ways of wearing it

Four outfits are named: Mandarin Grace, with a collared cape over the legs; Polo Grace, with layered leather or fabric and a belt design; Pin-Up Grace, close-fitting; and Eton Grace, with a tail and an armrest pleat.
