Description

Overview

Giunto (2025) is a collection of coffee tables by Antrei Hartikainen, inspired by organic forms found in nature. The page compares the curved, lens-like surfaces to water-worn stones and eroded rock formations. It is made in two heights, each with a swivel top.

Construction

The base is rigid cold-foam polyurethane, or European cherry solid-wood slats or Red Lepanto marble. The top is medium-density engineered wood panels, or cherry slats or marble. The tables are fitted with an internal counterweight ballast and stand on grey felt pads.

Specifications

60 x 60 x 34 cm (GNT1, low table).

Story

A joint between base and top

Antrei Hartikainen designed Giunto for Cappellini. A minimal attachment point between the base and the top gives a balance and tension between the two solid pieces, and the connection is off-centre, so the tabletop can move.

Two heights, three material families

The low table is also offered in solid European cherry, and the tall table in a Red Lepanto marble version. Both heights are otherwise finished in matt or gloss lacquer in the Cappellini colours, and colours and finishes cannot be mixed between base and top.
