Teakwood chair with an interlaced back

B&B Italia dates Ginestra to 2017 and credits Antonio Citterio. The manufacturer describes a chair in natural teakwood with sinuous, harmonious lines that are clearly inspired by northern trends, characterised by an interlacing in polypropylene fibre that is ideal for outdoor use.

GN60 dimensions

The GN60 drawing prints 60 cm, 59 cm and 75.5 cm (60 cm and 59 cm under the front and side views, 75.5 cm beside the front view; axes not labelled on the drawing). Two further figures, 62 cm and 44 cm, are printed beside the side view without labels.

Construction

The frame is solid wood. Thermoplastic ferrules are listed, and seat and back cushions provide comfort. A waterproof PES cloth with a one-sided PU coating is listed, and the covers are fabric in limited categories.

Colours matched to the wood

The product sheet says the colours are chosen to match natural teakwood, with a neutral interlacing. Comfort is attributed to the seat and back cushions.

Outdoor interlacing

B&B Italia singles out the polypropylene fibre interlacing as the feature that makes the chair suited to outdoor use, set within a solid wood frame, and the sheet names a water repellent cover on the seat cushion.
