Description
Overview
Marco Maran designed the Gigi Chair in 2000 as a light, adaptable stacking seat. Its moulded shell bends into a distinctive back profile, while armed and armless versions extend the range.
Construction
The plastic seat and back sit on a tubular steel frame finished in polished chrome. The armchair uses moulded polypropylene arm pads.
Specifications
- 87C armless chair: W 19.75 x D 22 x H 34.25 in
- Seat height 18 in
- Optional seatpad, tablet arm, ganging bracket and transport dolly
Story
A chair for changing layouts
Knoll describes Gigi as flexible in application, from cafés to classrooms. Stacking ability and optional linking or transport equipment support repeated rearrangement, while the shell profile provides both structure and flexibility.
Armed and armless formats
The programme includes chairs with and without arms. The stored dimensions belong to the 87C armless four-leg chair shown in the selected official studio image.
