Gary Sofa Bed

Overview

Gary sofa bed, credited to the Flexform design center in 2006. Flexform calls it a queen bed that keeps all the virtues of a sofa: well-balanced proportions and elegant lines when closed, and the comfort of a real bed when open.

Construction

Plywood structure, foam-padded, with a laminated fabric over it; patented fold-out mechanism; arc-welded metal platform base; goose-down backrest cushions on a foam bolster; 160 x 200 cm mattress.

A sofa that opens into a bed

Flexform's page presents Gary as a queen bed that maintains all the virtues of a sofa. Closed, it shows well-balanced proportions and elegant lines; open, it is as comfortable as a real bed.

Frame and mechanism

The structure is wood coated with polyurethane foam and covered with a protective laminated fabric, and a patented mechanism lets the bed fold out easily.
