Fynn Bench

Overview

The Fynn benches are, in Minotti's words, part of the family of seats completed by a footstool and benches of different sizes. The page lists three captions, 95 x 80 cm, 155 x 80 cm (both 38.5 cm high) and a Saddle-Hide bench of 66 x 50 cm (36.5 cm high); a 146 x 50 cm Saddle-Hide bench follows on the same page. Every bench has a cushion except the Saddle-Hide ones.

Construction

• Cushioned benches: plywood structure with a high-resilience polyurethane foam coating of varying density, covered by breathable heat-bonded fibre quilting on hypoallergenic white cotton canvas; light quilting and top-stitching; fabric or leather upholstery removes completely
• Base: solid ash with an open-pore Licorice stained finish, machined by CNC and held together by dowel joints, with black protective SEBS glides
• Saddle-Hide benches: a slightly concave top combined with a saddle-hide covering; ash structure stained Licorice, seat in plywood

Specifications

• Bench 155 x 80 cm: height 38.5 cm
• Bench 95 x 80 cm: height 38.5 cm; Saddle-Hide benches 66 x 50 and 146 x 50 cm: height 36.5 cm

Benches that complete the Fynn seats

Minotti lists benches of different sizes, together with a footstool, as the pieces that complete the Fynn family of seats. The designers credited on the page are GamFratesi.

Cushion or saddle-hide top

All of the benches carry a cushion except those in the Saddle-Hide version. The page describes these as having a structure with a slightly concave top, combined with a saddle-hide covering that envelops it like exquisite leather. The sheet gives the Saddle-Hide seat as plywood upholstered in saddle-hide, in fifteen colours, on an ash structure.
