Description
Overview
Freeport is an outdoor daybed from 2021, drawn by Antonio Citterio for Flexform. Clean, square lines define it, and the whole base is aluminium, a light but robust metal that withstands corrosion from weather and salt water.
Construction
An epoxy powder coat covers the aluminium structure. Roomy square seat and backrest cushions, generously padded and outlined with grosgrain piping, sit on it, and the backrest reclines. Aluminium feet end in thermoplastic tips.

Story
Clean, square lines
Freeport is a seating system with clean, square lines. Its base is entirely aluminium, chosen because the metal is light yet extremely robust and resists corrosion from weather and salt water, which suits outdoor use.
Stand-alone or combined
Fasteners that hook and unhook easily let a reclinable daybed stand alone or sit within larger arrangements. Freeport daybeds stack for storage at the end of the season, and most of their parts are recyclable.
