Description

Overview

First Steps is a stool with a metal structure that rises to form the backrest. The seat and back are hand-woven in paper rush cord or pure-cellulose paper cord.

Construction

The frame comes in standard painted treatments and a Finish Plus metal version. Metal tips have a transparent finish, while the feet rest on thermoplastic tips. Flexform offers two dimension groups, each in standard and Finish Plus codes.

Story

An archetypal reference

Christophe Pillet designed First Steps in 2020. Flexform connects the stool's simplicity to the archetype of a chair, using one continuous structure to carry the woven seat and back.
