Description

Élysée armchair

Ligne Roset recreates the Élysée armchair from Pierre Paulin's archived plans while retaining the original design and volumes. The one-place seat uses three crossed strand-board layers and cut plywood panels over polyether foam and polyester quilting. Its back combines strand board, mechanically welded steel, polyether foam and quilting. A matte-black lacquered MDF base supports the compact seat. Double-needle overstitching defines the seat and back, while the fully removable cover is secured with hook-and-loop strips. The official page offers the single-colour model in fabric or hide.

Story

An archived design revisited

The Élysée armchair preserves Pierre Paulin's original design and volumes while applying Ligne Roset's current multi-density foam assembly. The official page presents the compact proportions and visual lightness as suited to smaller city interiors. This one-place variant has a 13-inch seat height, with published overall dimensions of 27 inches high, 35 inches wide and 30 inches deep. Its removable upholstery and defined stitching accompany the layered seat and back construction.
