Overview
GUBI presents the Elogio Ottoman as a natural extension of Afra and Tobia Scarpa’s 1974 Elogio modular sofa system. It can stand independently, join a seating arrangement or connect larger configurations. GUBI lists it for indoor use.
Construction
The selected indoor variant is upholstered in Fustagno, GUBI 001. Its low, grounded volume follows the sofa system’s architectural geometry and inviting softness.

Story
Extending Elogio
Afra and Tobia Scarpa designed the Elogio sofa system in 1974 around architectural precision, generous comfort and compositional freedom. GUBI describes this ottoman as the element that takes the system beyond straight arrangements.
Changing direction
The square ottoman can be independent, integrated into the seating landscape or used to link larger configurations. Its grounded geometry and soft upper volume retain Elogio’s character while allowing transitions, changes of direction and more fluid ways to gather.
