Story
From gas lamp piping
Magistretti took the cross-shaped connectors used to join pipes in gas lamp installations and turned them into the load-bearing structure of a table. Cassina's text places the Edison in the poetics of the ready-made and describes it as a tribute to the elegance of industrial design.
A table from his Milan home
Cassina says Edison is the table Magistretti preferred for the dining room in his own home in Milan. Cassina relaunches it with a square, rectangular or round top.
