Drake Console

Overview

Hannes Peer designed the Drake Console for Minotti. It is characterised by clean, essential lines and a dynamic interplay of geometries, and it is made in marble, wood or glossy lacquer.

Construction

The top is contoured MDF, 30 mm thick, in brushed ash veneer with an open-pore lacquer finish or in glossy lacquer. The outer legs share the top's finish and the centre leg is solid marble; the legs have an internal aluminium reinforcement, and a matt black metal frame fixes the legs to the top. The console rests on adjustable rubber feet.

Ash, lacquer and a marble centre leg

The top is made in brushed ash with an open-pore lacquer finish, or in glossy lacquer. The legs are made of solid marble or MDF, with aluminium reinforcement inside, and the 200 x 38 x 75 cm console sets a marble centre leg between outer legs that share the top's finish.
