Overview
Doric is a table lamp by Oriol Llahona for Ligne Roset. Venetian mouth-blown glass is the tradition it follows, with a contemporary reinterpretation.
Construction and lighting
The light source is set into the brushed brass 'handle', which goes through the glass on its upper part, and the downlight shines through the glass. A golden textile cable and a black manual switch complete the lamp. The module is a 24 V 2 W LED giving 280 lumens in warm white at 2700 K; the LED can be exchanged in the factory. Consumption including the power supply is 3 W.
Specifications
Overall size: W 152 x D 142 x H 285 mm. Weight: 3 kg.
Story
Venetian glass, reinterpreted
Doric takes up Venetian mouth-blown glass, reinterpreted for today, and its light source is judiciously inserted into the brushed brass 'handle' that goes through the upper part of the glass.
Downlight through the glass
The downlight emitted through the glass creates a mood light. The lamp looks like a portable light yet is not designed to be mobile; it can also be reversible.
