Description
Overview
The Dolent coat rack, by Gini Moynier for Ligne Roset, is made of dark brown stained ash and serves as both a coat rack and a storage unit.
Construction
Four side rails of birch plywood with dark brown stained ash veneer and a satin varnish form the rack. A notch at the top of each rail takes clothing, bags or accessories. Two MDF trays with a curved birch plywood belt, finished in the same veneer and varnish, provide storage space for personal belongings. A ballast is attached under the lower tray.

The name Dolent
The name Dolent refers to Mont Dolent, a peak that is a mountaineering route fascinating the designer.
Rails, notches and two trays
The rack has four side rails, and each rail has a notch at its top for hanging clothing, bags or accessories. Two large trays, one of them with a ballast attached underneath, hold personal belongings.
