Overview
The Daumiller Armchair is a dining armchair designed by Rainer Daumiller. GUBI's current edition follows the original pieces produced by Hirtshals Sawmill in 1977 and is built in certified solid Pine.
Construction
The seat and backrest are ergonomically adapted to the contours of the body. The three-part arms and backrest are milled to achieve their curves, with visible connections that require precise detailing and hand finishing.

Story
Original production in 1977
GUBI presents the Daumiller Armchair as a Danish design classic whose current edition retains the material character of the pieces produced by Hirtshals Sawmill in 1977. The chair's direct construction makes its solid wood and joinery part of the visual language.
Curved solid wood
The generous seat and the three-part arms and backrest are carefully milled to form the required curvature. GUBI links this shaping to pine's receptive softwood character, while the visible connections make precision and hand finishing central to the chair's expression.
