Description

Overview

D-Scape is a modular seating system by Diesel Living with Moroso, designed in 2025 under the creative direction of Glenn Martens in collaboration with Controvento. It reimagines comfort through a futuristic, sculptural vision inspired by the vastness of cosmic space.

Construction

The base platform is upholstered plywood. The backrest is single-block expanded polyurethane over an internal wooden and wooden-derived frame, and the seat is differentiated-density polyurethane foam with a top layer of viscoelastic foam on a wooden and composite base. Feet are polypropylene with an interchangeable insert.

Specifications

  • Seat height: 40 cm without applied load
  • Covers: removable; the seat cushions lift off the base and are held by Velcro fastenings
  • Recommended fabrics: 8, in bouclé, chenille, velvet and knit
  • Elements: armchair, Element 1s and Element 2s (each as left and right end), ottoman

Story

Shaped by gravity

D-Scape is a new modular seating system by Diesel Living with Moroso. Its forms are soft, fluid and organic, and they look as if gravity had shaped them. The effect is light yet tangible and welcoming, a statement piece for contemporary interiors.

Modular and flexible

The range includes standard-format sofas, armchairs and ottomans, all with asymmetric geometries and generous proportions. Each element is designed to be modular and flexible, so the pieces adapt to different environments, from private living rooms to contract and lounge spaces.
