Overview
Curve is a 2022 bed by Emmanuel Gallina. Poliform says it was created to be light and essential while retaining the brand's elegance and timelessness. The padded headboard is presented as soft throughout, with fabric and leather among the cover choices.
Construction
The bed-frame structure uses solid-wood feet and metal guides. Moulded polyurethane forms the headboard beneath a polyester-fibre pre-cover. Covers on both the base and headboard are removable. Poliform lists Spessart oak alongside black elm for the structure.
Specifications
Largest drawing values, not labelled with axes: 2060, 2350 and 1060 mm. The same drawing also prints 1835, 1935 and 310 mm without assigning axis names in words.
Story
An essential bed
Poliform says Curve began with the need for a light, essential bed that would embody the company's elegance and timelessness. Emmanuel Gallina continues the work of the Curve family by reducing material to reach what the manufacturer calls a delicate and contemporary lightness.
Softness within a reduced frame
The headboard provides the deliberately soft element: moulded polyurethane under a polyester-fibre pre-cover, finished in removable fabric or leather. Solid-wood feet and metal guides give the base a distinct structural specification beneath the upholstered surfaces.
