Description
Overview
Cuiré is a square side table from the Poltrona Frau Style & Design Centre. A minimal structure made of a frame and cylindrical legs, all upholstered in Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® leather, supports a marble slab.
Construction
- Upholstery: legs and the frame that borders the top are covered in Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® (SC) leather; the leather frame also defines the edge of the top
- Legs: cylindrical, with two tone-on-tone stitchings on the feet
- Top: a single slab of marble, recessed with a slight overhang from the frame
- Undertop: one medium-density fibreboard (MDF) panel painted RAL 7021
- Detail: the Poltrona Frau logo is hot-stamped on one of the four legs

Story
Leather as the structure
The idea behind Cuiré is a minimal structure of frame and legs entirely upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather, holding up a precious material such as a marble slab. For the first time Poltrona Frau's signature material, leather, becomes the defining feature of all the structural elements.
Frame and top
The leather-covered frame runs around the perimeter and sets the edge of the top. A marble top is recessed with a slight overhang from this frame. The choice of Pelle Frau® leather lets the table be matched to the other furnishings in a space.
