Overview
Crono Outdoor is a dining armchair by Antonio Citterio for Flexform. The design pairs tightly woven cord with solid wood.
Construction
Solid iroko makes the structure; the support frame is painted steel. Four iroko finishes are listed: natural, grey-stained, brown-stained and white-lacquered. The backrest is hand-braided cord, listed as PVC around a nylon core, as polypropylene and as matt polypropylene. The seat cushion is filled with polyester fiber and a crushproof single-density insert, in water-repellent removable fabric.
Specifications
- 59 x 56 x 75 cm (code 0220C1)
- Iroko finishes: 4
- Cord: 16 colors in three types
Story
Cord and wood
The idea behind Crono Outdoor is the meeting of tightly woven cord and the warm texture of solid wood. The hand-braided cord of the backrest and the solid-wood structure are the two parts Flexform singles out as showing its craftsmanship.
Pairing finishes
Wood finishes and cord colors can be combined freely, so a single dining armchair can be built in many color pairings. The structure is solid iroko and the cord is polypropylene or PVC with a nylon core.
