Overview
Antonio Citterio designed the Crono Outdoor armchair for Flexform. The inspiration is the meeting of tightly woven cord with the warm texture and feel of solid wood.
Construction
Solid iroko forms the structure, which has a support frame in painted steel; the iroko is offered natural, grey-stained, brown-stained or white-lacquered. Cord options are hand-woven extruded PVC with a nylon core, polypropylene, or matt polypropylene. Seat cushions combine polyester fiber with a crushproof single-density insert; the upholstery uses removable fabric.
Specifications
- 69 x 78 x 82 cm (code 0220A1)
- Wood finishes: 4
- Cord colors: 16 across three cord types
Story
Wood and cord
Flexform points to the workmanship of the solid-wood structure as an example of the craftsmanship that sets its products apart, and the same is said of the hand-braided cord of the backrest.
Combinations
The wooden structure comes in a series of finishes and the cord in a vast array of colors, so Flexform says the Crono Outdoor armchair and dining chair can be crafted in any number of color combinations.
