Description

Overview

The Courrier floor standard lamp comes from Ligne Roset and was created by CP — RV. It takes its cue from a simple straight line that imitates a beam of light, and its visual and physical lightness allows a base of small diameter.

Construction

The metal base is a half-sphere of Ø 16 cm made of a weight and a cover, and the cover conceals excess cable coiled around the stem. The metal stem (Ø 35 mm, H = 173 cm) is finished in ribbed epoxy satin black lacquer RAL 9011. An LED module at the end of the stem lights the ceiling.

Specifications

360 x 300 x 1,800 mm (W x D x H); weight 5.7 kg.

Story

A line that imitates a beam of light

Courrier takes its cue from a simple straight line, imitating a beam of light which extends beyond the physical limits of an object. That lightness, visual as well as physical, makes a base of only 16 cm in diameter possible.

A cover that hides the cable

The base is made of two elements, a weight and a cover. The cover conceals the excess cable, which is coiled around the stem, and a foot-operated switch controls the light.
