Description
Overview
Courbell is a low table from Dozsa & van Dalfsen, made for Ligne Roset and inspired by 1970s design with a contemporary twist.
Construction
The top is frosted, matt tempered bronze glass, 8 mm thick, and the base is dark bronze lacquered steel. Thin, curved L-shaped bands connect the legs and are vaguely visible beneath the glass. The cylindrical legs surround the glass top and keep it from slipping out of its frame, evoking the image of a gemstone in its setting.
Specifications
Overall size: 1,040 x 665 x 405 mm (W x D x H). Weight: 16.1 kg.
Story
A structure that shows through the glass
In Courbell the structure plays an important role in the table's appearance. The thin, curved L-shaped bands that connect the legs are vaguely visible beneath the frosted, matt glass top and add a touch of elegance to an understated and refined design.
Height and presence
The height is slightly above the average for a low table, and Courbell stands out with an airy and sophisticated presence.
