Description

Overview

Core is a bar table by Tacchini Design Studio that puts the bar table back at the centre of contemporary living, as a place to gather, converse and wait. Function and conviviality sit alongside memory and transformation in an open experience.

Construction

Wood forms the structure and the base, and metal forms the inner part. Ten external finishes are listed, among them stained walnut, glossy rosewood and ebony, and a range of glossy lacquers.

Specifications

180 x 70 x 38 cm (W x D x H, 0CREMB180).

Story

A presence that encourages sharing

Core is more than an accessory: it is a presence that invites sharing and informality. Tacchini Design Studio draws on the memory of domestic bar tables and fits it to the fluid spaces of the contemporary home, with no fixed use or posture imposed.

A low table that opens

Core is a low table that opens and reveals itself. Its surface becomes a support plane and its volume turns into a container for objects and everyday rituals. The opening mechanism is built into the design and is natural and intuitive.
