公式商品ページへ概要
Reduced solid frame
Cordoba is a 2022 armchair created by Foster+Partners Industrial Design. Its roomy seat is held within a solid-wood structure whose sections change according to the work performed by each leg, arm and seat element. The resulting outline is reduced while retaining the required support.
Separable components
Anodised aluminium spacers and thermoplastic ferrules complement the frame. Smooth or embossed thick leather forms the seat and back. B&B Italia states that these panels can be removed for maintenance and to help separate the product’s materials when required.
CR75R dimensions
The technical drawing gives 75 × 71 × 76 cm, together with a 58 cm arm height and 44 cm seat height.
ストーリー
Precision and material responsibility
Foster+Partners Industrial Design approached Cordoba as a meeting of precision, comfort and environmental responsibility. B&B Italia dates the armchair to 2022 and describes the solid frame as recalling Nordic exactness alongside an oriental spirit, without hiding how its parts meet.
Form follows each element’s task
The cross-section of the wood changes at the legs, arms and seat supports rather than remaining uniform. That controlled reduction gives the chair its light appearance. Removable leather seat and back panels extend the same logic to maintenance and eventual material separation.
