Story

Colour first

Herman Miller says Carole Baijings and Stefan Scholten began the ColourForm design with a study of colour and, once they had a palette, sculpted minimal forms to focus on the colours and details.

Textiles developed with Maharam

The designers worked with Maharam on two upholstery textiles, Pare and Tracery, and developed wood stains to suit them. In its teaser for the related story, the page says the sofa, its textiles and an exhibition debuted at Salone del Mobile 2017.
