Story

A tribute to Memphis

The Colonna page says the stool is included in the "Kartell goes Sottsass - A Tribute to Memphis" collection, launched in homage to the movement founded by Ettore Sottsass. Kartell's museum timeline, under 2015, describes a collection of original projects Sottsass designed in 2004, made of one vase and two stools and marked by an affinity to the aesthetics of Memphis. On the data sheet the stools are Colonna and Pilastro, and the vase is Calice.

Stool or side table

The page puts the stool's versatility first. Kartell's shop lists the product in the Side Tables department.
