INTEBEE is the FF&E specification platform for interior designers: spec sheets, finishes, floor plans and client-ready PDFs in one place.

Description

Overview

Clam is a three-place bed-settee by Dubreil & Pilato. Three sets of articulated ratchets link two mechanically welded frames, allowing the upholstered form to change from a settee into a bed.

Construction

The armrests use welded tubing and injected foam. The seat and back combine two specified Bultex foam densities under 100 g/m² polyester quilting. A black epoxy-lacquered metal base is clad in stained solid wood.

Dimensions

The two-arm version measures 2,420 x 1,050 x 890 mm (W x D x H), with a 400 mm seat height. The sleeping platform is 136 x 190 cm and the product weighs 114.5 kg.

Story

Settee and bed in one structure

Clam's conversion mechanism is integrated into the two linked frames. In settee position the mattress folds into the seat and back; opened flat, it provides a 136 x 190 cm sleeping surface.

Upholstered details

Twin-needle stitching marks the frame, armrests and mattress. The two optional cushions use baguette stitching, and an optional mattress protector is available. Professional removal is specified for the upholstery cover.
