Story
An extension of the CH71
The manufacturer says Wegner introduced the CH78 in 1954 as an extension of his CH71 of 1952, and conceived it as an antidote to the often-heavy lounge chairs of his time. Its sculptural silhouette is made of a series of inviting curves that offer a warm embrace.
Reissued as a tribute
Carl Hansen & Søn presents its reissue as a tribute to the man often called the master of the chair, and describes the design as soft, supportive curves balanced with dynamic geometric shapes.
