Story
From the Carpenter's Sawbuck
Wegner took his inspiration from the sawbucks and saw horses used by carpenters and woodcutters, and added the comfort of an upholstered seat.

Relaunched at the Family's Suggestion
The chair left production in the 1970s. About twenty years later Carl Hansen & Søn relaunched it at the suggestion of Wegner's family, and it was an immediate success.
