Central

Overview

Central is a folding table that Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec created in 2011 for Magis. It is a round, bistro-like table for daily use, small enough to be set in numbers on the terrace of an old café in Paris.

Construction

Its die-cast aluminium legs are either polished or finished with polyester powder paint, and the top is polished aluminium or HPL. The folding system is easy to operate and the structure is all aluminium. Versions for outdoor use are available.

Specifications

Ø 60 x 72 cm (round top, TV370). The aluminium top is 20 mm thick and the HPL top is 12 mm thick.

A table as straightforward as possible

Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec conceived Central as a project that is as straightforward as possible: a round, bistro-like table for daily use. The idea was a table that can live in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments, in a home or in numbers on a café terrace, helped by its small size.

Simple, delicate and durable

The aim was a simple, delicate table that is nevertheless strong and durable, with materials chosen to improve with time and use. The easy folding system and the all-aluminium structure make Central functional and pleasing to the eye. Central and the Tambour tables are among the additional projects the brothers have designed for Magis.
