Multipurpose movement
The Caper Multipurpose Chair combines swivel, tilt, pneumatic height adjustment, and a five-star caster base in a compact office chair. Herman Miller describes it as a mobile seat for desk work, informal meetings, and other activities that benefit from easy repositioning.
Seat and back
Its contoured back is moulded from glass-filled polypropylene and perforated to dissipate moisture and heat. The seat is offered in moulded polypropylene or optional FLEXNET suspension, while versions may be specified with or without fixed arms.
Story
A chair built around mobility
Jeff Weber designed Caper seating around a range of people, spaces, and activities. For the Multipurpose Chair, that intent appears in a small footprint, casters, a back cut-out for handling, and controls for height and tilt.
Performance through direct construction
The flexible perforated back supplies give without a bulky upholstered shell. Herman Miller also offers FLEXNET as an alternative seat, using suspension to distribute weight and reduce pressure points.
