Overview
The Cannot table (1999) was designed by Michela Catalano and Ilaria Marelli. Cappellini describes it as a low-lying table built around the concepts of equilibrium and instability, with a structure of stainless steel and a lacquered top in a matt or glossy finish.
Construction
The structure is 435 satined stainless steel. The top is a medium-density fibreboard panel, lacquered matt or polish, and the feet are black plastic. The table can be disassembled, which makes it easy to store and transport. The maximum load at the centre of the top is 100 kg.
Specifications
Ø55 x 45 cm (CI_1).
Story
Equilibrium and instability
Cappellini presents Cannot as a design that revolves around geometry and lightness, and around the concepts of equilibrium and instability. It was envisioned by Michela Catalano and Ilaria Marelli.
A table that comes apart
The structure is stainless steel with a lacquered top, and the table can be disassembled. Cappellini notes that its compact dimensions make it easy to store and transport when disassembled.
