Outdoor modular system
Butterfly is organised around an ottoman base. Adding a backrest, an armrest or both creates central and end modules for linear, corner, front-facing or lounge arrangements.

Construction
Steel tubes and profiles create the buried structure; flexible foam shaped cold is wrapped in water-resistant polyester fibre and sealed tape.
Coded compositions
The official Compositions tab lists BT001–BT007. The principal image is a larger arrangement without a stated matching code, so no unrelated module footprint is stored.
Story
The outer corner
B&B Italia says the name comes from the butterfly-like shape made where the armrest and backrest meet. A simple joint system connects the upholstered modules and supports several layout directions.
Patricia Urquiola
The manufacturer credits Patricia Urquiola and dates the outdoor system to 2015. The product sheet emphasises modularity, comfort and an informal mode of use outdoors.
