Description
Overview
BUREAU is a wall-mounted work desk by Peter J. Lassen. Its worktop is paired with two removable trays, an open shelf and a cupboard, combining several forms of storage in one product.
Construction
The desk is made from 12 mm lacquered MDF and is offered in Montana's 41-colour lacquer programme. Montana states that BUREAU is supplied only as a wall-mounted module.
Components
One module is W 93.8 × D 38 cm with a variable height of 13.8–36.6 cm. The second module is W 35.4 × D 38 × H 73.8 cm; the page does not publish a complete overall envelope.
Story
Storage integrated with the worktop
Peter J. Lassen organised BUREAU around the tasks of working and storing. Two trays can be removed completely, while a shelf provides open storage and a cupboard adds an enclosed section.
A wall-mounted composition
Montana presents the desk as a suspended piece rather than a floor-standing one. The official description lists the two modules separately and states that BUREAU is available only as a wall-mounted module.
