Bretagne Bed

Overview

The Bretagne bed is a product of the Poltrona Frau Style & Design Centre. The design is balanced and draws attention to the headboard, whose round form carries padding of variable density. It is made for a 180 x 200 cm mattress, and its SKU is 5589.

Construction

• Headboard: rounded and slightly inclined, in solid poplar, beech and tulipwood with birch plywood; padding of polyurethane foam and polyester wadding
• Cushions: polyurethane foam and polyester wadding, attached to the headboard with zip fasteners and velcro strips
• Base: spruce blockboard frame boards and a poplar plywood footboard with polyurethane foam padding
• Feet: gunmetal grey aluminium with protective plastic caps
• Upholstery: Pelle Frau® leather covers the frame and headboard, and the cushions have removable fabric covers; a version entirely in leather is also offered

A bed built around its headboard

The bed is enveloping and protective like a shell. Its bedhead is the focus, shaped in a round form and padded to varying density.

Slight incline and cushions

The headboard has a slight incline and comfortable cushions; these make it suited to reading and give it maximum comfort. Zip fasteners and velcro hold the cushions in place, and the fabric covers can be taken off.
